324 madness?

Hi

What's with everybody using 324 for all things audio? If I remember
right, the op-amp is about as bad as they come. Sure it's ok for some
things but personally I'd keep it as far from audio path as I could.
The only reason to use it that I can think of is if you need single-supply
op-amps for really cheap. Or did I miss something fundamental?
