I certainly hope you're right on both counts. I could have sworn I saw it
in the paper at the Palace about a week ago. I've heard something about
`go' but I can't remember what it was. I'll keep my nose to the ground
however. And I hope the Palace is a better cinema than the damn Hoyts one.
Where I saw that god awful starwars movie. Yeah I know, everyone warned me...

But the cinema was total crap. I don't know if it's a Hoyts thing of if
they're all that bad the days but this was crap. I don't know how they get
away with it. They claim it's 6 track digital sound. I've heard better
sound from my computer speakers. At least my computer's amp doesn't go
"Buzz, thump HISSSSSSSSSSSSS" when the computer wants to make a sound. It w
as like they made the movie in another language. I couldn't understand a
word they were saying. By the time the surround channels got back to me it
was just a mess. I tired shifting seats but it made no difference. And talk
about out-of-focus... I had heard people complaining about Hoyts cinemas in
other states but this was awful.

I use to think I was short sighted. Which is fine when you're trying to
hand solder kynar wire onto a pair of 60 pin flat-packs. I use to always
sit up the front of a cinema because I thought I'd be able to focus on the
screen a little better. But I can sit right up the back of an IMAX and it's
just as in-focus as the front. I know. I've seen 3 IMAX movies today.
(Can't get enough) I know I haven't actually gotten out of the house for
years as it were but do people actually derive enjoyment from watching a
fuzzy picture with distorted sound that crackles every time there's a tone
below 100hz?

They tell me I need to get out of the house more but I'm not so sure...

Be absolutely Icebox.
