I got back into DIY synths after 15 years back in 96, and just decided to
do it all from scratch and first principles again. I am currently using
Linear Technology and Analog Devices premium parts, with only a sprinkling
of Motorola and NS stuff. Metal film and PP film stuff only. Everything
works a whole lot better as a result.

Analog isn't dying, its just consolidating.
