>From October '81 Elektor published a synthesizer with presets.
They stored control voltages digitally in an eprom, and lots
of 4066 type switches to choose between front panel settings
or the stored preset. The synthesizer was named "Compact
Synthesizer" and used CEM chips for VCO, VCF etc. It was later
extended to polyfony too, if I remember correctly.
