That does not sound "crazy" to me. Let me see if I understand. Are you
saying that you have would some type of switch to select between the pots
and the presets with only one PC slot available on the front? You could
change the resistive part of the patches by a quick change of the PC board
full of resistors. Or are you talking about all these PC boards resident
inside? Or would the pots on the panel still be in the circuit for
twiddeing?
Would you keep the circuit board cheap using fixed resistors so that
changing a patch meant physically changing the resistor on the circuit
board? Or, would you have some trimmers on the baord, or perhaps a
combination of both? This still leaves cableing and switch positions that
need to be set for each patch, right?
I think this thread could make for some interesting discussion.
