nope, a peice of wire has inductance...
mind you're talking tiny, and you'd be in the Ghz range before it became a
problem.

wait till you play with RADAR!!!
With radar you have at transmission line that doesnt exist.. wave guide..
because of the frequency used the waveguide is the outer (comparing this to
coax) and the inner is a "virtual" piece of wire.
Its great stuff...
