dr110 sync?

Hello DIYgods.....

I'm trying to do the Dr110 sync mod, and I'm having a bit of trouble.
to start with, I'm trying to send the DINsync clock strainght into the clock
in of the dr110 (4th lead from left going into the digital board)
without dividing it down.... I assume DINsync is running at 24ppq, and it
needs to be divided to 12ppq...

anyways, I'm not worried about dividing the clock yet, cause I can't even
get it to sync (at double speed) to the output of the din cable.
I'm grounding casing of the Din lead to a ground on the dr110, and taking
the pin on the far left (while looking straight at the jack) (I've tried all
the pins, btw)... and it won't sync.... it just kinda goes all over the
place as if there was a bunch of noise in the line....

anyways, any ideas?
