Unfortunatly it seems this problem over a name will never be resolved. 
whilst I respect rick for creating the list I dont agree with his concept of 
a take over bid.. I subscribe to other mail-lists and they have websites and 
registered domain names, run by different people to the list creator, who is 
a different person to the list maintaner.. so why the awkwardness?

as long as nothing offensive is put on the page and each user retains 
control over his/her section, I fail to see the problem. But as long as 
someone objects I will abide by this, I have no wish to upset, annoy or 
offend anyone, especially people on this list who I find informative, 
helpful and who I would count as friends.
