a small question_(resistor codes)

Sorting resistors can be a pain, orange and red on brown can get pretty
close. Measuring and matching them when you buy a bunch is a good idea.

I use a resistor wheel that I get from radio shack. it is two colored
discs that spin in a little slip. match up the colors and it tells you the
value.

I also got a capacitence calculator that works in a similar way.

. I got one of those abacus type resistance matrix boxes. They are very
helpful for many uses, including quick checking . set up a round value and the
just slap the resistors in line. Just remember to subtract the base value.

I need to buy 1% and 5% resistors for the current projects running. Who's
giving the best deals these days?

What are the chances of a few of us getting together and bulk buying certain
sets of parts I don't need a thousand 100k pieces but I do need a hundred
fifty. and a ton of small bits of odd values.
Anyone in that boat.
