JH's VCO, wavetable source

I recommend to listen to some 256 samples, cyclic waves, before building
such a complex circuit.

I did some programming that delivers such a .wav file.

And I came to the conclusion that most of the resulting waves were pretty
boring and quite disappointing, so the cost of a wavetable readout seems
to be much too high for such poor audible results.
If you compare that to some saw waves at low beat rate...

This is of course my individual audio experience, maybe other would
stand up and jump and shout of joy...

Actually this should be the same affect on you as listening to an 8 bit
sampler without modulation or effects.

For me, the same is true for higher resolution - without modulations or
effects!

I think the key is that a digital wavetable VCO needs to be manipulated in
real time to get the most out of it. Software synths do it - try one of
them with the output resolution turned down (if you can do that) - and let
us know the results.
