Captain Proteus,

errr, but isnt that the point?

I find it quite amusing (Im not starting a flame war here but raising a
point) that for someone who "claims no ownership of synth-diy" to get so
stressed about a domain name... if he doesnt own it then as it is born from
this list and will have stuff on related to this list I personally think
that it should be synth-diy.org.com.whatever..
If he does 'own' the list then fair enough, so to this end;
Rick, which is it? do you or do you not own it?

and does it really matter?

This is hwre I can see problems, for gods sake its a name its linked to this
list by its users/members why should it not use it? personally I think it
would be nice, but if its going to cause as much stress to rick (anyone
else?) as it seems to be then fine, call it "not-synth-diy.com.org" I really
dont care... the point about this site is to share information not to quible
over ownership/names. If we worried abotu ownership we wouldnt post our own
ideas/schematics would we?

Now things have been explained I cant see ANY reason why anyone would
object, I for one, would love to help in anyway possible... hyperreal is
(was?) a good example of this, one main page then users pages/music pages
and Faq/schematics/etc...

Mr proteus, if there is anything I can do, just let me know.
I support this idea, 100%

Sounds fair...

this is where the real fun lies...

This is what the list is about and what make it GOOD, people will do things
whichever way they can to help others on it... I've spokent o Grant Richter
about his waveform city, which he sells, in turn it has helped me with my
design (though somewhat different, but none the less a help) which I dont
plan on selling and is freely available to all on the web. He didnt have to
help, he could've just stayed quiet and said "im not telling you, its my
design", but he didnt.

Lets see a little more of this and less of the bickering over names and
ownership.

just one more question, what is your name? :-)
