Interesting point about synth diy'ers and engineers in general.. I have
heard that on a lot of court cases, engineers are usually the first targeted
for being taken off the jury esp in murder cases...
Seems as though we are thought to be too "calculated and analytical",
therefore more likely to convict.. Harder for us to see grey areas and raise
doubts about our choices..
Perhaps this is why those stupid flame wars we have on AH that last for
frikkin weeks only stay on synth diy for a day at the most... Synth diyers
have far too much to do, and dont live on opinion nor do our egos force us
to make personal attacks on peripheral issues of someones character in a
lame attempt to justify our original wrong.
Like you said, we are more apt to say "yes, thats a good idea, but" rather
than "You are a JERK and Im not, so THERE!"
Its pretty bad when members on AH, respected members quite a few years my
elder I might add, try to make you look bad by posting a COD that you
refused even though you paid them the shipping costs.
You would think older guys would be above this.. but no..
AH frequently has 40-50 year old artsy fartsy "brats" who carry on to no
end.
Im glad synth diy is free of this sort of bull and if we get more members,
so be it.. as long as it doesnt degenerate into what AH has lately, more
power to it.
