audio>trigger

Hi everyone,

I recently made some 3080 OTA LP filters, and I want to trigger them from the audio signal supplied at the input.
I tried some circuits using opams as comparators, full wave rectifiers etc. but there all slow and have difficult treshold adjustment.
Can anybody point me to a schemo that offers better performance?

Another question, I intend to make a pretty heavy analog power supply for my atari falcon computer.
Conrad electronics offers a low drop regulator 6V in 5V/ 7.5 A out chip, the LT 1083-5 CP but they don't have a datasheet. Does anybody know who makes this one and where I can find a decent datasheet?

Thanks,
Guido
