Exactly! My concern is that this could be over if you try to
make synth-diy bigger and better...
  
Right now it's a low-level mailing list, with automatic archive.
If you're setting up web-based forum the discussions might move
there totally or in part. In part would be the worse situation even,
synth-diy would be split up. I'm afraid a "professionally designed"
site won't live long, and as I said may attract the wrong or too big
an audience. Too many people on a subject and the traffic increases 
such that the people that matter abandon a list. I've seen it happen
on more than one occasion. Need I say "Analog Heaven"?
