Synth-diy was started by me a few years ago, and I'm happy to see
a relatively constant population on the list happily sharing ideas
and help. I'm a little bit concerned that by doing it "bigger and
better" a (much) wider audience is attracted, diluting this little
community. I think mailing lists like this can only be "occupied"
by a small community. With increased numbers of people the number
of messages increases, which means you will lose people. So far
synth-diy has been spared the noise and fights that is abundant on
many other mailing lists...
I'm not saying that you should not do it bigger and better, but
you take on a certain responsibility for the continuity. I cannot
claim to "own" synth-diy, the list is you, the list members. All
I hope is that a pleasant forum continues to exist as it has for
the past 4 years.
Regards,
Rick Jansen
