Wavetable DAC

I use the DAC0800, bog standard cheapy thing, it works fine.
Theres a schematic in .PDF format on my webpage of my wavetable VCO.
Why use a 3374?
I suppose if you have them handy they would be ideal...
as I didnt I played around with a LM13600 design from tomGs website and used 
that.
