The heater mod on the mod page is fine but this one doesn't take
and room or hardware to install. For new as well as old MM owners.
Enjoy....

Here is a top-side 3046 w/wo heater mod for the MadMouse. The way
this works is to take a 14 pin socket and cut or sand the pins even
with the bottom. Then super glue it to the board. just right and up
from U2 (13600). Plug in the chip. Tin the top of the pins and make
the following connection.

If you don't want the heater, skip pin 10.

3046
pin Destination
----------------
1 - Q1 C
2 - Q1 B
3 - Q1 E
4 - Q2 B
5 - Q2 C
6 - Q5 B
7 - Q5 E
8 - Gnd side of R34
9 - Gnd side of R34
10 - 220 ohm to 330 ohm to -V side of R37
11 - Pin 11 U2 (+V)
12 - 1K to Gnd side of R29 and 10K to
       Pin 6 U2 (-V)
13 - N/C
14 - N/C

If you use the heater option change R1 and R2 from 47K
to 39K and install a pair of clip on heat sinks to the regulators. I
used Techam P# 910-3269 after breaking off most of the fin it
just fits. This goes for the old mod too!
