These array heater things are, in the original 25 or so year old ckts, only
guaranteed if you use the actual numbered transistors in the array as given.

I personally think that a toaster oven would give such temperature differentials
across the chip (and everything else) as to make experimental observations
pointless.

BTW, why not use a multiplexed PIC micro to perform exponential conversion?
Any programmers care to estimate how fast we could update say 8 convertors?
