I remember a while back some people here were looking for Joysticks. I
found this today and I am passing this along for information to those that
may be interested:
All Electronics P.O. Box 567, Van Nuys, CA 91408-0567
1-800-826-5432
Direct quote from catalog:
"CH products high quality joystick assembly with solid spring-return
centering and snap action pushbutton on joystick tip. Two 5K ohm pots are
controlled by the stick's X-Y axis. The push button is connected to 10"
teflon coated leads. Interior mechanical parts are nylon. Black plastic
enclosure is 2" x 2" x 1.45" deep. Black 1.68" diameter bezel surrounds
joystick. Metal joystick with plastic handle is 3" long. Ideal for RC
models, robotics, and games."
Cat # JS-3 $5.75 each.
This is a "new" item in the catalog. One thing I have learned about All
Electronics is buy all you want now if you find something, as they may not
have it later. I have found the large diameter heavy duty Switchcraft 1/4"
phone plugs in the catalog on occasion for an excellent price. However,
they rarely have them. return policy is no authorization nor reason
required if returned as re-sellable.
The photo looks like a fairly well sealed lower unit except the pots appear
on the outside, so I suspect that one might change them for a different
value. It is difficult to tell if the "metal" part of the joystick extends
up into the plastic handle or not. Nice looking bezel.
All Electronics has no minimum order. However, all orders are charged
$5.00 flat rate S & H to the 48 continental US states. They do offer
foreign shipping but quote no rates.
