Slightly OT - balanced to unbalanced cables?

Does the compressor have ONLY balanced XLR "ins" and "outs"?   If so, I
would consider matching transformers for the task so that the impedances
match.  I have had not problem at all with the ones sold at Radio Shack. 
last time I checked you can get them for about $15 each.  They come in both
 Male - Female gender chages so you don't have to make any special
connectors.

On the subject of system interconnection and the avoidance of ground loops
and other problems, I found an absolutely wonderful souce of good
information with drawings and LOTs of detail.
