Front Panels

Has anyone tried anything similar to the front panel anodising system shown
at  http://www.megaelect.demon.co.uk/gedakop.html

It's basically a pre-sensitised aluminium sheet that you expose artwork on
with a UV box (same as for a PCB), dye it, and seal in the dye in hot water.
If anyone has used this or similar, I'd be interested to hear how it went.
 
If the price if right it could be a very nice way of producing front panels.
