question about a roland hs60

i got my hs60 today it has 1 dead voice i have located the 80017a chips in it
under the keyboard,...I have only a voltimeter and a continuity tester as far
as diagnostic tools go,..

.anyone with half a clue as to how i would go about determining witch of these
odd chips (80017a vca/vcf) is a dud <>?? 

also thier is a juno 106/hs60 expansion board with a sterio and audio input
<scratch scratch> now what is this is it an audio input for the filter<>? im a
little wary about pluging an audio signal into it for fear of burning
something out ,...,..
