question about transistors.

I was trying to make the Maxx modular VCO1 and I hooked up one of the
transistors backwards, and applied power to it.  would this "blow" it?  or
anything else?  THe one hooked up wrong is one of the two that are right next
to each other by op-amp1.  I've hooked them up corrdctly, and the thing still
doesn't make any sounds (except for the radio stations that I can tune in with
it)...  I have two MAT-02's and I was wondering if I should throw one of these
in there in place of the two transistors.  

In any case, what are the pin-outs for the MAT-02??
