Good ideas, I think a synth-diy version of Ampage
(http://www.firebottle.com/ampage/) is what is really needed.
Kevin Lightner's Synthfool pages (www.synthfool.com) come close
(there seems be also a bbs section now, aka the Synthfool Message Board).
There are also combined WWW & email pages like f.ex.
www.egroups.com/lists/cubase, and many free message board sites also.

No... it doesn't exist yet. But, for those of you making web sites, this
is my wish list.
Some of you have already implemented some of these, but no site has all
of them. Please don't write indignantly saying, "Well I have this one!"
I know you do and I appreciate all your efforts.
1. A web-based forum so we don't have to get 150 messages in our mail
and only need to read the threads that interest us. Oh... and an archive
for this, too.
2. Schematics for each part of a synth (VCA, VCO, etc.) from many
sources - not just for one person's synth. Also, possible PCB layouts
for these.
3. Schematics, text and panels for commercial modulars of the past.
4. Lessons on building, including: panel construction, case
construction, PCB layout, soldering, troubleshooting, tuning, using an
O-scope, finding parts (Art's Theramin Page is really good for this last
one: http://home.att.net/~theremin1/ ).
5. Articles posted by DIY builders on various topics (including the
above topics). This could include more in-depth monthly features such as
how to make a certain thing from beginning to end.
6. Semiconductor data sheets and pinouts for ICs commonly used in DIY
applications - with links to the less common parts.
7. Lists of substitute ICs, especially for defunct parts (eg. What best
replaces the KE4859 FET in the ENS sawtooth-based VCO...).
8. Patches for modular synths to get certain effects (I haven't seen too
many of these around).
9. Info on synth-based musical groups (old and new).
10. A categorized links page: Semiconductor companies, personal pages,
people who sell modules and parts, other DIY pages, etc.
11. Articles for those of us who are not electronics experts on the
various parts of a music circuit: inverting amps, comparators, summing
nodes, Schmidt triggers, integrators, buffers, etc.
12. Reprints of articles from old magazines (with permission of course).
I'm sure I'll think of some more later, but even these twelve would make
one helluva great page!
