Digital DIY synths?

I started programming a n analog synth emulator with the Analog Devices
EZKIT-Lite Board (ADSP2181). As my time is very limited I stopped at the
most difficult part: the filter.

This is what the software can do at the moment:

generate sawtooth and rectangle/pwm sounds
simple envelope generator
noise generator
sine modulator
vca-equivalent

So these are only the very first modules - not a synth at all!

If anyone is interested in the simple code I could thing of putting it
on my webpage...

If anyone programmed a VCF-like filter for these board I would be
interested in it!!!
