I'm a senior software engineer at a small startup company called
Marimba, Inc.  We make some interesting packages for distributing,
licensing and updating software products over the internet.  I've been
working in Java for the last three years, mostly Lisp before that.

I moved from electrical engineering to software engineering 12 years
ago, roughly the time "the building blocks changed" and most
processors and subsystems were put on chips.
