I manage a software test lab for Microsoft. http://www.microsoft.com/data/
Our group doesn't do any database programming languages per se. ( FoxPro,
SQL Server, Access... ) but we do all of the "glue" that allows other
programs to access databases. If you write something in C++ or Visual Basic
that talks to an Oracle or SQL database, you are using our bits.
It's a lot of fun - I have been working here for about two years. The lab
has over 300 computers ranging from 486's ( hey - we have to make sure it
will run anywhere ) up to 4-proc Xeon and 8-proc PPro mega servers.
Operating systems range from Windows95, 98, NT & Windows 2000 ( the new
offering )
Basically, I pound on one kind of keyboard all day and then go home and
pound on another kind of keyboard for relaxation...
