Arp Oddy VCO 2 trubbles..

Well, I have investigated this strange vco 2 problem.. and I have come
up with a few speculative reasons why its always just VCO 2 crapping out
and why vco 1 is usually unaffected..

1)on the schematics you have the second voice CV porting into the vco 2
CV buss.VCO 1 doesnt have this connection

2)VCO 2 also has the sync connection coming from VCO 1.. This is a
potential, but unlikely culprit..

Now, mind you, I have had problems before with that second voice CV
circuit AND the keyboard trigger processor. they act together to
allocate the second cv from the keyboard to VCO 2. I would say that if
you suspect this to remove R57 on board B. This disconnects the second
voice CV from the CV buss of VCO 2.. (boy, that was a mouthful)

NEway, removing r57 will isolate CV #2 from VCO 2. If it works ok then,
you know it has something to do with the sample and hold circuit (i
think) they use to hold the second CV.. Its drooping or whatever.

As for myself, I am prlly just going to disconnect the second voice CV
AND the main CV from vco2 and rig it up so I can have each vco playing
seperate melodies on my Oddy by using one midi/cv channel on each vco.
At least that way then, I dont have to worry about it anymore. Let it be
broke already! :))

OH, BTW, I just realized that you could make VCO 2 into an LFO just like
vco 1 very easily.. This could be cool if you run a lot of stuff through
it..and you could make vco 1 sync to vco2 kinda easily.. wow..Lots o
neat stuff going on here..

Oh well, I will cease my brain droppings.. :)
