strobe lights and tempo

An envelope follower tuned to the frequency required would work.
Say, working between10Hz and 60Hz, a bass drum "beat" could
be extracted and a gate signal produced at the output, and used
to trigger a strobe midi clock (via some form for DSP for midi).
