	I firmly agree, and while I personally have stayed away from
DSP, and while there were a lot of negatively-biased to your original
post, I encourage and request more discussion on this topic here on this
list. "Analog" is not part of the synth-diy charter.

	OTOH, I'd like to mention my own big reason for staying away
from DSP, and it's purely a matter of practicality and laziness...
	...Everything I've made from scratch (about 20 or 30 modules
now) has been made on pad-per-hole "vectorboard". SMD components and
wide data buses are a pain in the ass on vectorboard. :)
