Introduction

Just thought I'd drop a line to introduce myself to the list...

I'm into electronic music, particularly noisy experimental stuff along
the lines of Einsturzende Neubauten...

My electronics experience is limited to high school physics, although
I can read schematics and am fairly handy with a soldering iron...

In particular I'd like to build some sound processing devices, perhaps
a modular sound processor along the lines of Kevin Lightner's
Polyfusion rig...

I'm also interested in modding synths (especially the wonderful SH-5,
and also fairly useless devices such as all the cheap dodgy Casio
stuff floating around...) and other sound devices (radios, tape
recorders, telephones etc)

I'd like to get a modular synth (Doepfer etc), and in the long term,
build my own, but of course this isn't going to by my first project :)

I'm not sure about the range of topics discussed here, but if anyone
has experience with custom pickups for Sitars, Mandolins and other less
convential string instruments, I'd be interested in hearing from them
too...
