Digital DIY synths?

Isn't it also the fun in designing a dsp based synth to make these things  
matter? To introdoce non-perfect saw pulses, to introduce non-linear  
transmission? I agree that a pure analog synth is more 'visible', but as I  
said in another message, I think it is just a matter of state of mind. In a  
dsp based synth, you are not trying to make the perfect mathematical pulse  
signal. That would be easy. You are trying to make the most musically pleasing  
pulse signal.

There's just as much electrons in them DSP's... This sound like it could grow  
out to an audiophile type of war. TUBES, USE TUBES! B-)
