Polysix also uses such VCA (with two transistors) and it sounds rather
noisy to me (even with effect section turned off),but IMO it's not
so bad in final mix.

as in MS20 (old version with korg vcf chip uses 1,and ota version vcf
uses 2 
transistors in VCA). But it sounds so great to me (ota version)...
