Hi Ken n All !

Just from looking at the data sheet mind, check out CD22M3494 .

16x8 switching matrix, but with a latch bit per switch (versus one 6 
bit address latch for the CD74HC22106), meaning any no of switches 
can be set at one time .  Could surely work as 8 1 of 16 selectors .  
Mixing ?  Dunno, data sheet is not explicit on that .  Maybe some of 
you with more background could read more in this . 

fn2793.pdf was the filename from the Harris site .
