First, thanks to Paul Perry and Ian Fritz (and others) for correcting my
reverb post.
Secondly, thanks (yet again!) to joachim, since I had expected a slew of the
responses below when the topic of changing out op amps came up on the list and
I had mentioned the idea of changing my ARP's 301s with an improved op amp. No
one sent me such an e-mail, and I've concluded it is better to look at those
aging caps, and 5% resistors (and other places) than do something stupid. (I
will point out that I got the idea from Phil C. at Cirroco Music Systems as a
way to make your 2600 sound more like a "Blue Meanie" and I thought I'd see if
anyone knew what op amps they were using.)
