Hi Gerry:

DO NOT apply +15 to pin 5, you'll instantly destroy the CA3080.  Apply a
current source only, maximum of 2 MA.  It is a good idea to put a resistor
of 10K or so in line with your current source and pin 5, so accidental
connections to +15 or ground won't trash the CA3080.  Increasing amounts of
current into pin 5 will increase the gain of the device.
