Every now and then I think of selling my old Paia modular. Then I hear
the lush phasing of its linear VCOs and decide against it. I have
the 4700 series w/ the 8700 keyboard computer combo. I have been unable
the find the tapes for some of the programs. In particular "Pink Freud"
"Pink Tunes" and the arpegiator-on-steroids were worth many days of fun
and experimentation.

I remember that the Apple II could be used as a development platform
for the 8700 computer. The 8700 was 6503-based which was a 6502 with fewer
address lines. Paia had a collection of articles called "Friendly stories
about computers and synthesizers" (or something along those lines).
I have this. You may be able to get it from Paia. If not, and with
John Simontons permission, I could photocopy it. It also had an article
and circuit for building a linear DAC for use with exponential gear.

Check w/ John (honcho at paia.com) he may still have the development tools
for the Apple II, or info on interfacing it.

If you ever come across those programs, I'm willing to pay for a copy.
I have the listings, but entering the hex codes by hand on the keypad
makes me shudder, even though this is how I used to develop for it.
