CA3080 Pin #5

Hi Everyone,
O.K. I might get some eye rollers on this one, but I needed to know
for sure.
If I apply a voltage (-15 to +15) to pin #5 on the CA3080, 
the output is amplified or increased respectively.
Is this correct?
