Sources for fine grained cabinet wood?

Sorry Bob I can't help, but

Bob Moog heard of someone who had a big walnut tree and was able to get the
lumber, probably at a reasonable price.  One of the best investments he ever
made.  It was cut into solid boards.  Cabinets for his modular studio synths
were made from it.  I remember that stash of walnut wood in the cellar of his
original shop in Trumansburg.
