Yes. As you wrote it could involve a third master osc with several synced
osc's all running at the same CV-voltage (see
http://www.mkv.mh.se/staff/per/studio/phase-sync.gif). But perhaps there's
better or easier ways to get frequency and phase synced (but phase
shifted) oscillators?

On a normal 'hard sync in' will the oscillator sync to zero volt or any
set voltage using a comparator?

The idea here was that
- the phase of the oscillators can be modulated with any CV, even by there
own or any other slave osc's waveform.
- you  could use any waveform of the synced oscillators not just saws or
square

The Rivera "Phase Modulated Synch" shure sounds like what I was thinking
about.  Got to try this sometime.
