Yamaha always uses PM, it has some advantages over FM:
e.g. constant phase modulation for all ratios.
We can't really do PM in our analog modules.
(Anyone ??)
So , don't expect an analog synth to sound like a 2 or 3 OP
DX7, or TG77 etc.
For sine shaped carriers and modulators and fixed parameters
(steady state) you can allways get the same spectra , regardlesss
of PM or FM.
If one of these assumptions is not valid, you'll NOT.
