Well, I also examined samples. The jacks look decent and the insertion feel is quite satisfactory. The plugs are quite nice, they even have coil springs for strain relief. Of course you wouldn't have any use for that on a patch matrix plug.
My plugs and jacks will definitely not fall apart, but of course their long term reliability is hard to guess.
