You mean this tiny thing (approx. 5 x 5 cm) ?
I walked right into that trap. It's pretty useless for VCS-3 kind of
modulation
routing. The pins are so small, no way to get a resistor into it.

I wouldn't say perfect 'cause it's still a little small for that (You'll
have
difficulties to remove densely placed pins without pliers), but at least
shorting pins would work here. I actually thought about modding my
VF11 with such a matrix (leaving the lowest or the highest band fixed).
But I don't know if it's worth the trouble. Cross patching is something
everybody wants to try once in his life, but in the end you'll use it in
regular
configuration mostly. So I probably won't spend my time on a matrix
where the pins will end up in the diagonal position anyway.

There are larger matrices from the same manufacturer. (Not in the
catalogue.) These turned out to be very useful.
