I have tried to become a private Farnell customer a few years ago - in vain.
Then one year later I ordered their catalogue for my employer - without
buying anything. When I called them a bit later to order something
privately,
they gladly gave me a private customer's account.
RS Components was a little easier to get in.
Speaking of RS, they have a very professional and customer friendly policy.
I had ordered two of these (rather) expensive epoxy veroboards, and this
morning
a strangely heavy parcel arrived. Inside there were 50 veroboards (2
packages).
The invoice said two pieces, however.
Ok, after some quick thoughts, I decided to call them and told them about
their mistake.
They said I can keep them all for free. A nice 200 Dollar gift.
I gladly give them some extra advertisment amongst my synth-diy collegues
for
that. (;->)
