Been busy doing a heap of ModBox's for customers, and I have
just been looking at the orginal 'The Mix' articles that Geoff Waterston
did ages ago. I based my mods on these, but i modified them quite a bit
because of all the mistakes, abd disarsterous resistor values that he
published..... shame on him :(

Anyway, i was looking at the two different main bass drum schematics
he did, one in the first part, the second in the last part. The first one
has
a BC108 transistor for using a positive CV to vary the pitch from and
external source. The second schematic has a GATE input to trigger
the "sweep" generator, for the main bass drum. I have incorperated the
latter, but i want to have BOTH CV and GATE control for the main bass
drum trigger sweep.

Check out the following pages for the schematics.

Part 1 :

Part 2 :

I'm also think about including a SECOND trigger input, specifically for the
main bass
drum trigger. This would then give a trigger for the main bass drum, a
trigger
for the main bass drum sweep, and a pitch CV for the original bass drum
pitch.
I'm sure that if used in conjuction with a sequencer (say a 303!), the
results would be
very impressive...

I'd really appreciate it if someone could show me a way to have these
features
as it would greatly enhance the ModBox (and 606!).....

Thanx,

Bringing the 606 into the realms of the 303's beauty......
