Yes, it does. But sometimes, if the J-wires get a bit too tarnished from
disuse or dirty envirnment, it takes a little more than solvent to get them
clean. I always clean them gently with a soft pink pencil eraser (both the J-
wire and the buss bar), afterward wiping with a dry, clean cotton swab to make
sure not to leave any eraser residue. The eraser is a very mild abrasive -
abrasive enough to clean off the crud, but not effect the plating of the wires
and bars (unless you rub too hard). The soft pencil eraser technique was what
was recommended by both Sequential Circuits and Oberheim, back in the days of
J-wire keyboards. I was a factory-authorized service tech for both companies,
until the end of their respective empires.
