need help with hs60 repair

ok i got my 2     80017a vcf chips from roland today for my hs60

it seems that the internal; pots are way out of tune for the pitch and the vcf
i have trouble telling if voice 4 ,s vcf is dead of if it just need to be
tuned ,..anyone with tuning knowledge and a little insight into how i shouild
remove the faulty chips and put the new ones in would be appritiated (like how
hot can i get  the chips etc.)   it wont be aq problem taking them out and
puting the new ones in but i must first know how to tune the critter so i know
exactly what chip/s to replace in her,...
