Parts from Radio Shack?

I beg to differ on the subject of rat shack pots.. I've found them,
expensive, scratchy, and often simply unusuable. Jacks and cables.. just
whatever you do, don't do it. I was trying out various brands of 1/4"
jacks to see if I could find a cheaper sub for switchcraft... ended up
going back to 'em anyways. Can't beat that smooth insert feeling.. uhm..
that sounds bad, you know what i mean.
Like I mentioned before, rat shack is good for breadboard or a part in a
pinch, but even the ceramic caps I've seen there look like they're bulk
from the late 70's. I would bet IC's, resistors, etc. are fine. Even DMM's
are pretty nice and cheap, too. + get a lifetime warranty for cheap and
never buy another.
