Here my lazyness is greater than my curiosity (;->).
This would not just be swapping, but swapping and re-adjusting, which is
not worth the trouble for me.
I did not complay about this remaining drift in the modular - in fact I am
very content with these VCOs. It's just that I noticed that my two discrete
SEM style VCOs is (even) better.
The only thing that annoys me is the P5, because I'd gladly wait some time
until the temperature is settled, but the "automatic autotune" does its
calculation at the worst possible time, i.e. immediately after power on.
So what's so bad about it ? Doesn't that just mean to wait the time I would
have to wait anyway, and hit autotune button a second time ?
It isn't. After autotune (asuming temperature has settled), the tuning is
quite perfect. The OB-8 with it's option not to use auto tune has just the
right "warmth" between being sterile and being detuned.
