I did two or three mixer-diy-tries and it was always the same: mechanics  
killed me. I don't know in which country you live. Here in Germany there is  
the company "Behringer". They do a Mackie-clone called 1602 for 370,-  
Deutschmarks. You will never make it yourself for this price.
